Ndukwe brothers sign scholarships


chidera ndukweWednesday was special for the Ndukwe family. Chidera Ndukwe, a wide receiver/defensive back for Overlea High, signed a national letter of intent with Shepherd University. 

About 200 miles away in New York City, Ndukwe's older brother Kennedy, inked a football scholarship with Bethune Cookman. Kennedy, a 2015 Overlea graduate, currently attends ASA College.

kennedy nduwke Two other 2015 graduates Devon Anderson and Desmond Kelly inked Division I scholarships. Kelly, a 6-foot-1, 295-pound defensive linemen, will play for Eastern Michigan while Devon Anderson, also a defensive linemen (6-3, 270) is headed to Utah State.

Anderson and Kelly both spent the last two seasons at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. Both were Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Game participants in 2014.
