Foreman will lead the Reds; Team Preview

The softball program at Roland Park Country School was re-established in 2014 and the Reds have excelled on the diamond ever since.

RPCS won the IAAM C Conference championship in 2014 and followed that up with another title in 2015, before settling for a semifinal appearance last spring. In an effort to continue expanding the program, the Reds have moved to the B Conference for 2017 and should have enough talent and experience to be competitive.

The top returning player is senior pitcher Kathryn Foreman, who went 8-3 last year in the circle. She also batted .523 at the plate with three home runs as she earned All-IAAM honors.

Her batter mate, senior catcher Allison Leatherbury is also back. Leatherbury batted .596 as a junior and cracked eight home runs while driving in 36 runs. Also a strong defensive presence behind the plate, Leatherbury was also an All-IAAM selection.

Big things are also expected from junior shortstop Caitlin Ellwanger. A year older and stronger, Ellwanger should expand on her .465 batting average.

Head Coach:
Donna Bourne (4th year, 35-5)

Players to Watch:
Kathryn Foreman, Sr., P (All-IAAM)
Allison Leatherbury Sr., C (All-IAAM
Caitlin Ellwanger Jr., SS
