Three freshmen join a talented returning group
The McDonogh softball team returns a solid core of talented players, bolstered by three talented freshmen.

“We are a stronger team then last year with the addition of three talented freshmen that will see significant playing time,” said coach John Folfas. “McDonogh has the  ability to make a run for the championship with solid pitching and hitting.”

The top returning player is senior outfielder Camille King, who batted .482 last year. She was an All-IAAM pick in 2015.

Sophomore catcher Madison Gemmill, an All-IAAM selection last spring, is also back after batting .440 last spring. Also back is junior pitcher/shortstop Nikki West, a .466 hitter last year.

McDonogh will prepare for a championship run with a strong non-conference schedule.
