Spalding lax trying to breakthrough in the MIAA A

Cavaliers led by three UMBC recruits; Team Preview
Year-in and year-out the Archbishop Spalding boys’ lacrosse team turns out top-notch college players and the 2017 squad will be no exception.

Playing in the MIAA A Conference amongst the most talented high school players and teams in the nation, the Cavaliers have had a difficult time putting up winning seasons, but the talent is there just the same.

This spring third-year head coach Brian Phipps will be lead by four seniors committed to college lacrosse including three that will matriculate to UMBC.

Headed to Catonsville to play for the Retrievers are midfielder Max Sherwood, attack Brett Baucia and defenseman Corey Gaines. In addition, attack Luke Legnard  will play at Bellarmine University in Kentucky.
