Mardiney and Railey combined for 85 goals last year; Team Preview
The Notre Dame Prep lacrosse team plays in the always tough IAAM A Conference, but the Blazers proved they could play with some of top teams in the country by tying for third in the conference last year.

With 10 starters back and lots of depth, the team is poised for a big 2017.

“We should be competitive in every game we play,” said coach Mac Ford. “We have depth on paper at every position. Our team will do well if our seniors lead the way.”

The team’s top returning scorer is junior attach Hannah Mardiney, who put the ball in the goal 55 times last season. She also added 10 assists.

Senior midfield Katie Railey will be leader. She scored 30 goals, had 10 assists and 25 draw controls last spring.

Also back is “lock down defender” Sarah Cooper, a junior who caused 25 turnovers last year.
