Admirals return seven starters; Team Preview
With seven starters returning, the Severn baseball expects to contend for the MIAA B Conference championship.

“I think we should contend for a league championship,” said first year coach Bob Laffey. “Boys' Latin brings back talent as the defending champs and will be difficult to beat. We have young talent that hasn't been forced to step up. If they are able to meet the challenge we should compete.”

Pitching depth is a question for the Admirals, by junior Ryan Jack should lead the rotation.

“We will be asking a lot from guys who haven't had to give us much in the past,” added Laffey. “If they play the way we think they can, we should be able to have the depth needed in a playoff run.”

The Admirals top retuning positing players are junior shortstop Alex Rozner and senior centerfielder Brendan Gauthier, both All-MIAA pick last year. Seniors catcher Ethan O’Malley, senior left fielder Tyrek Thornton and junior third-baseman Jordan Mathis also return.
