Seventh ranked Patriots roll to an 18-6 victory
After a shaky start, seventh-ranked John Carroll was impressive on its home diamond, Monday, remaining undefeated with an 18-6 rout of visiting Seton Keough in IAAM A Conference softball action.

Seton Keough (0-3 overall, 0-2 IAAM A) scored all six of its runs in the top of the first inning, putting the Patriots (4-0 overall, 2-0 IAAM A) in an early hole, but JC took charge with 12 runs in the second and cruised to the win.

Emma Ritter led John Carroll as she collected two hits, including a double, a stolen base and four RBI. Shannon Sweeney started the decisive second inning with a 2-run single for the Patriots.

Emma Kropkowski was the winning pitcher for John Carroll coming on in relief, allowing no runs and six hits, while striking out two.
