Panthers top North East in boys' lacrosse; Woods has four goals

Ray Woods scored four goals and Liam Johnson added two goals and an assist as Perryville High defeated North East, 13-6, in an UCBAC boys' lacrosse contest Monday in Cecil Couty.

Matt Mannone scored twice for the Panthers (4-2 overall, 2-0 Susquehanna), who led 7-2 at halftime. Nick Roberts had a goal and two assists, and Jarrett Bowman finished with a goal and an assist. Ben Savick stopped 22 shots in goal.

Braden Buegel had a game-best five goals for North East (2-5, 1-3 Susquehanna) and Paul Simpson chipped in a goal and an assist.
