Barnes and Glock combine on a one-hitter for the Dons
One day after hitting five home runs and routing third-ranked Bel Air, 16-6, the Archbishop Curley bats went cold, Tuesday, as two Loyola pitchers limited the Friars to just one hit and the Dons won, 3-0, in MIAA A Conference baseball at Curley.

Carson Barnes made the start and limited Curley to just one hit over four innings, while striking out six and walking four. Jack Glock followed Barnes to the mound and tossed three hitless innings.

Hunter Spalt got Loyola on the board with a solo home run leading off the top of the second inning and the game remained 1-0 until the fifth, when the Dons scored again on an RBI single by Jack Reinhardt. The hit plated Trevor Henigan, who started the rally with a leadoff single and moved to second a sacrifice bunt by Brent Peterson.

The Dons added their third run in the sixth when Henigan added an RBI single.

Colton Knoble had Curley’s only hit and Nick Richardson went the distance on the mound for the Friars
