No. 8 Greyhounds pull away in fourth in final MIAA A lacrosse tuneup; Hudson scores four goals
Senior attack Austin Hudson scored four goals and Ronald Fisher added two scores as No. 8 Gilman School defeated No. 13 Hereford, 10-8, in a non-league boys' lacrosse match in Parkton Wednesday.
Kelly and Hudson each scored in a 36-second window for the Greyhounds (4-3 overall) in the fourth, breaking a 6-6 tie. Hudson scored again and Jeremy Cranston tallied as the MIAA A Conference school outscored the defending Baltimore County champ Bulls, 4-1, in the fourth quarter.
JD Nozemack and Scott Middleton each scored twice for Hereford (4-3), which battled top-ranked McDonogh School last week before falling, 13-8. The Bulls play Saturday at the Gerry Case Memorial Mixer at Broadneck against Queen Anne's and No. 9 Broadneck.
Gilman, which outlasted defending MIAA B champ John Carroll School Tuesday, kick off MIAA A play Tuesday afternoon against third-ranked Calvert Hall College in Roland Park.
