No. 13 Lions win battle of Class 4A/3A girls' lax title hopefuls on Scott's shot
Emileigh Scott scored the winning goal in overtime as No. 13 Howard High defeated Bel Air, 16-15, in a non-league girls' lacrosse contest in Ellicott City Monday.
Jenny Kinsey finished with four goals and two assists, including the game-winner to Scott, for the Lions (6-2 overall). Scott, Kelly Schluederberg and Jenna Peed each recorded hat tricks.
Julia Henry had three goals and two assists for Bel Air (6-2), which rallied from a 14-9 deficit in the second half to pull even. Lauren Asher finished with a hat trick and Maggi Hall and Anna Farley each scored twice.
Howard, which won the Karl Wolf Tournament title last weekend, will play at No. 11 Severna Park Wednesday. Bel Air plays at North Harford Thursday in an UCBAC Chesapeake contest.
