No. 8 Bel Air tops Rising Sun behind Criss' one-hitter
Kat Perea drove in two runs and Amanda Criss pitched a one-hitter as No. 8 Bel Air High defeated Rising Sun, 9-0, in an UCBAC Chesapeake softball contest Wednesday in Harford County.
Peyton Hale had a solo homerun and a RBI single for the Bobcats (8-2 overall, 5-2 Chesapeake), who maintained second-place in the division behind undefeated and second-ranked Bohemia Manor. Brianna Fleischmann, Maddie Bosley, Criss and Hana Leftridge each had a single.
Criss struck out 13 and allowed only a single to Molly Dill. Bel Air plays at No. 7 John Carroll School Thursday afternoon in a non-league special before taking on Bohemia Manor Monday afternoon.
