Patriots end Seton Keough's softball run

John Carroll rout Gators in final regular season match for soon-to-be closing school; Ritter homers

Erica James drove in four runs and freshman Emma Ritter went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a homerun as John Carroll School defeated Seton Keough, 19-6, in an IAAM A Conference softball contest Wednesday in Baltimore City.

Sara Dieter also drove in three runs for the Patriots (8-7 overall, 5-5 IAAM A), who scored 18 runs in their first three-at bats. Gabbi Centi finished 2-for-3 with a RBI. 

Imani Dawson homered and drove in two runs and Samatha Glover had two RBI for Seton Keough (0-11, 0-10 IAAM A), which played its final home match. The Caton Avenue school is closing its doors at the end of the school year.

The Gators will play at No. 15 Mount de Sales Academy in the opening round of the IAAM A playoffs Tuesday. John Carroll hosts Catholic in the other first round match Tuesday.
