Ryan scores 19 to lead Admirals
In a contest which was razor close throughout, Severn School traveled to Annapolis Area Christian on Friday and upset the host Eagles, 50-49, in a game with many implications for the MIAA B Conference basketball race.

Severn (9-12, 5-11) was led by 19 points and six assists from Jarid Ryan, while AACS (13-6, 12-4) was paced by Emmanuel Toney's 17 points.

With the loss, AACS was eliminated from any chance of catching first place Boys' Latin (15-1), which it defeated on Monday.  The Eagles are now in a virtual dead heat with St. Vincent Pallotti (11-3) for second place, with Panthers percentage points in front.  Pallotti will visit AACS next Thursday.

Severn is currently a half game behind Friends (5-10) in a four-team chase for the final playoff spot in the conference.  Chapelgate Christian (4-9) and St. Mary's (4-10) are also in that mix as the regular season heads into its final week.
