Balanced Huskies keep pace in UCBAC with 54-31 victory
After a close first half, Patterson Mill High took over in the second half to gain a 54-31 victory over Elktton in an UCBAC Chesapeake boys’ basketball contest Friday.

Four Huskies (11-5 overall)reached double figures in scoring, led by Kevin Dorsey’s 12 points. Khalid Smith and freshman Bryce Butler each had 11, and Mike Reed finished with 10.

The Bel Air school outscored Elkton, 29-10, over the final two quarters to remain tied for first in the Chesapeake (6-1). Patterson Mill travels to co-Chesapeake leader and defending league champ Edgewood Tuesday evening.

Elkton: Stryckning – 7; Burks – 2; Scott – 8; Freeman – 9; Ross – 5.

Patterson Mill: Dorsey – 12; Dorn – 6; Reed – 10; Smith – 11; M. Bonds – 2; Butler – 11; Brad Burris – 2.

Halftime: Patterson Mill 25, Elkton 21
