Sophomore guard Danielle Edwards scored 13 points and Dajah Logan added 10 as No. 2 McDonogh School girls’ basketball squad posted a 58-32 victory over John Carroll in an IAAM A Conference match Friday in Owings Mills.
Coming off its loss at Roland Park Country School Wednesday, the defending IAAM A champ Eagles constructed a 31-14 halftime advantage Friday. The Eagles (15-6 overall, 9-2 IAAM A) maintained second place in the league standings behind No. 3 Archbishop Spalding.
Sophomore guard Ola Ekondayo and senior Yemaya Johnson each finished with 12 points for John Carroll (9-12, 4-9 IAAM A), which dropped its second straight decision after beating No. 9 St. Frances Academy earlier in the week. The Patriots complete league regular season play at Roland Park Country Wednesday, sandwiched between non-league matches at Fallston (Monday) and Poly (Friday).
McDonogh completes regular season league play at St. Vincent Pallotti (Monday), at St. Frances Academy (Tuesday) and home against Seton Keough Wednesday.
