Spalding girls' handles Pallotti; Calhoun scores 17 points
spalding trioCamille Calhoun had 17 points and Torri Chestnut had 16 points, four rebounds and three assists leading No. 3 Archbishop Spalding to a 74-47 victory over St. Vincent Pallotti in an IAAM A Conference basketball contest in Laurel Friday.

Senior post Jade Scaife added a double-double, 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavaliers (20-1 overall, 11-1 IAAM A), who built a 37-22 halftime margin. Beverly Ogunrinde led Pallotti (11-12, 4-8 IAAM A) with 14 points, and Io Chaney finished with 10.

The Cavaliers hold an one-game lead over No. 2 McDonogh School going into the final week of regular season play.  Spalding hosts St. Frances Academy Wednesday and travels to Mercy Saturday in a makeup from Jan. 25.

Monday, the Cavaliers visit No. 6 Digital Harbor Monday in a non-league match. Friday, Spalding visits nationally-ranked Riverdale Baptist in Prince George’s County.
