Grove scores 21 as Northwestern overcome 15-point halftime deficit, stays in contention for Divison II finals


Darshawn Grove scored 21 points and Dante Houze scored eight of his 11 points in the fourth quarter as Northwestern High rallied for a 69-67 victory over KASA in a Baltimore City Division II boys’ basketball game Friday.

Trailing 57-44 entering the fourth, the Wildcats outscored KASA, 25-10, to improve to 7-4 overall and 5-2 in Division II play. Martez Boone and Sean Christian finished with 11 points for the Park Heights Avenue school.

Northwestern travels to Douglass in a key Division II play Tuesday afternoon.
